CiCi’s world began to spin. This didn’t fit. This wasn’t what she was told. She began to tear frantically through the photos – one after another, happy family; Mom, Dad, Baby Girl. Mom, Dad, Baby Girl. Folded in half at the end of the album was a letter. Worn, creased, discolored.
Lu, I love you. I will always love you. I am sorry. You were never supposed to know. I thought we could be together forever. It was a foolish dream. Our paths crossed and my life changed forever. Please make sure Cecilia knows I will always love her.
This post was written for 100 word song. A meme where you have 7 days to write something, anything inspired by a specific song in 100 words or less. My story is a continuation of the post from last week. It’s fun to not be in control of where the story will go. I let the song take me where it shall. To read last weeks post, and the first installment of this story click here. I can’t thank Lance at My Blog Can Beat Up Your Blog enough, for pushing this writer to write. If you’d like a push too, all are warmly welcomed!
This weeks episode was based on the song “Ho Hey” by the Lumineers. Somewhat stuck in the 70’s I am often surprised by music in this decade that I find pleasing. Another good reason to play along.
Ooh I loved the line “Our paths crossed and my life changed forever.” Love it.
Thank you my sweet. It has been a scary ride writing fiction on my blog…but I love it so much, I’m gonna keep on keeping on. Great. Now the Brady Bunch is singing in my head.

And just like that, her life will never be the same. I can’t wait to see where this goes.
Thanks Linda. This has definitely been more fun than I expected.
That is a cool writing prompt! I’m going to have to go back and read other times you did this.
Hey Kate-It’s a totally fun way to write. It’s such a challenge to tell a whole story in 100 words!
