A typical day in my life looks like…….

Okay. Maybe it’s not all that bad

Here is the longer version:

Mommy doesn’t want to wake up yet, go do something.

 I didn’t mean smoke a pipe.

I also did not mean blow up the house. Fine I’ll get up. Let’s do something constructive.

Oh that’s nice, let’s learn about making a calendar.

 Oh and some math, yea!

 It’s lunch time!

Mommy needs a break, why don’t you head outside.

You know what? If you can’t be quiet, I’ll help you out.

Fine. I guess we can go outside together. Fresh air will do me good.

Might as well stop at Targey on our way home.

Mommy likes it, deal with it.

 Dinner Time!

Let’s get ready for bed!

 First brush your teeth.

Now it’s time for mommy to get to work.

Finish the Sentence Friday

  1. Jen, Target is awesome and seriously loved your take on this (I’ll be your best friend was too funny!!).. Every post I have read so far has been truly so creative on this topic. Thanks for linking up again, too!! 🙂

    • Thanks Janine! What an awesome compliment. I love FTSF! It’s so much fun to do….unless it’s a serious topic. Well not really, then I’ll just turn it around 🙂

  2. Your son is adorable! And definitely the kind of kiddo that my mom would refer to as being ‘all boy’! Um, did you know your calendar says September 2012? 😉

  3. Not that I have any room to talk, but what exactly are you making for dinner in that photo? Looks like four bowls of milk-water. But who am I to judge – I’m sure it was delicious 🙂

  4. OMG, I loved these photos! I have to say, when I saw the pipe/lighter one, I gasped/laughed hysterically. That is one of the most unexpected things I have seen in awhile- nice work! The photo angle is such a good idea for this week’s sentence. You are so awesome!

    • Thank you so much!!! I am a frustrated photographer, since the invasion of digital I have done my best to use my iPhone like it’s actually a camera, so I have more pictures than anyone in their right mind should have. And on the pipe thing…not the first time.

  5. …and the coveted Marcel goes to! lol

thats the thing with these FTSFs everyone working with the same premise, the results are just plain fun.
the range of creativity is humbling….

    • party time! excellent! I am a frustrated photographer, and so I surreptitiously force my fruitless art on other people any way I can.

    • He really is, even when he is annoying the heck out of me, in my head I know he is really funny. But it’s still my job to be the mom, I can’t always be the audience 🙂

  6. What a cutie pie! (Said in overzealous adult around a kid tone of voice)
My absolute favorite: Heels in Target.
My big connection: Burrito wrapping. My son loves it when we do that to him.
You look like you have an amazing backyard!

    • I wish that was my backyard! However we have a gagiliion forest preserves within 3 miles of our house and they are tons of fun! And yes, he does love that burrito wrap!

  7. Dude! You outdid yourself with this cool photo-post and the captions. I LOVE it. Especially you doing the crazy-eyes look. That one was for me, huh. And hey! Tucker has the same Hanna Andersen pajamas! In blue, blue and green, green and dark blue. They are the only ones he’ll wear. MWAH. TTTx10 ❤

  8. This was such a cool idea! Loved all the pictures and the story to go with it. And I am so glad that your desks looks even worse than mine, tee hee!

  9. Woah!!! You weren’t kidding when you said I needed to look at your desk, LOL! 😉 Love your day – though it looks a bit hectic, your kids are gorgeous and they look so happy. That says it all. Glad I found your blog 🙂
